Danone Place was conceived as a global workplace designed to connect people, ideas, and cultures. Located in the Amsterdam metropolitan area, the headquarters brings together international teams within an environment that encourages collaboration, wellbeing, and everyday interaction.
The project combines advanced workplace technology with a strong human-centered approach. Open, light-filled spaces, shared amenities, and carefully designed social areas support both focused work and informal exchange. More than an office building, Danone Place acts as a vibrant hub where community, sustainability, and innovation come together under the vision of One Planet. One Health.
Studio Michiel Wijnen was commissioned by DZAP as Lead Interior Architects.

The Social Heart
The central coffee bar forms the social heart of Danone Global Headquarters Amsterdam a place where movement slows down, conversations begin and the workplace becomes more human.
Richly planted and crafted from recycled wood, the bar creates an inviting meeting point within the open, mobility-based office concept. Designed for informal encounters, coffee breaks and spontaneous exchange, it brings people together throughout the day. Above it, a bespoke chandelier made from Danone glassware adds a personal and poetic layer, reflecting the project’s focus on wellbeing, authenticity and conscious design.
