Studio Michiel Wijnen X Meeder Ontwerpers, KBF Warehouse, 2025

Once home to chewing gum and Sportlife, the former factory is reborn as KBF Warehouse.
Commissioned by Timeless Investments, we reimagined the building as a vibrant urban oasis, a place where hospitality and creativity meet. The ground floor unfolds into a deli, welcoming lobby, private dining rooms and an event space, all infused with color, playfulness and a lively atmosphere.

Located in Amsterdam’s Amstelkwartier - a fast-evolving riverside district redefining urban living, KBF Warehouse bridges the city’s industrial past with its creative future. Surrounded by real estate developments, creative offices and co-working hubs, the former factory has transformed from a site of production into a place of connection, community and contemporary hospitality.

Designed as a flexible framework for everyday use, events and shared experiences.

Private Dining Space

Set within the historic low-rise volume of KBF Warehouse, the private dining space reveals a more intimate and architectural layer of the former factory. With its generous height and protected character, the room offered the perfect canvas for a carefully curated hospitality setting.

A large table by Mokko Amsterdam anchors the room, paired with Bollo chairs by Fogia. Above, a signature installation of individual paper spheres emphasizes the height and atmosphere of the space.

All loose furniture and lighting were carefully selected and curated by Studio Michiel Wijnen X Meeder Ontwerpers, with Charles & More as interior partner for procurement. The result is an expressive yet refined setting for gathering, hosting and memorable moments.

Soft Forms, Bold Colors

The design balances the building’s raw industrial character with warm materials, bold colors and custom-made elements.
A layered interior landscape encourages movement, interaction and discovery, offering different atmospheres throughout the day while maintaining a strong and cohesive identity.

Hospitality Oasis

For KBF Warehouse, we created a hospitality oasis where deli, lobby and host reception merge into one lively social space. Operated by Fetch, the deli offers coffee, sandwiches and everyday service, while welcoming visitors into the building with warmth, colour and energy.
