Studio Michiel Wijnen x Studio Tyner - WGL, Rotterdam, 2023
For Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh Legal, a Rotterdam-based law firm, Studio Michiel Wijnen X Studio Tyner transformed two shell floors at Blaak 555 into a complete workplace interior across the 14th and 15th floor.
Rooted in autonomy, dedication, integrity and connection, the design reflects the firm’s clear and pragmatic character. Rather than excess or corporate display, the interior embraces a fresh, structured and confident atmosphere no-nonsense, precise and distinctly Rotterdam. A calm ton-sur-ton palette, tactile textiles, natural materials and shades of blue and blue-green create a sense of balance, trust and quiet authority.
Designed to Welcome
Surrounded by glass and overlooking Rotterdam, the workplace is designed as an open and welcoming environment where hospitality takes centre stage. The lunch and event area forms the social heart of the space, creating a setting for informal meetings, shared moments and client interactions.
A bespoke cabinetry element integrates storage and functionality, while meeting rooms and workspaces are arranged around this central hub. The result is a timeless and approachable workplace where clients feel welcomed, and where the WGL team can connect, collaborate and host with confidence.
